For some people getting a useful/ great guitar tone is a nightmare. But it doesn't have to be.

Actually, these days guitar plugin technology has improved so much that you can dial in a great guitar tone withing a few minutes. Especially, if you use a preset.

Today I'm going to give you a preset I created with the Neural DSP Plini X plugin I own.

Just as a disclaimer - Plini X is a paid plugin and not the cheapest one on the market. But I highly recommend it because it's very versatile. Not only for prog metal but also jazz, rock, blues and similar genres!

Today I'm giving you a jazzy preset useful for clean sound.

Okay, let's get started...

Here's the layout of the Plini X plugin.

First, the clean amp (number 1 amp).

I'm not going to repeat in words the settings because you can enlarge the image and turn the knobs for yourself.

Remember, you can adjust the Input and Output knobs how you like because so you can get the right volume from your guitar and the audio interface (to avoid signal clipping)!

Second, let's look at the Pre Effects section now.

Copy my settings as you wish.

By the way - I'm using only compressor and drive.

Third, here's a picture of the Cab.

Using Condenser 184 mic and Ribbon 160 microphone.

Copy the position and distance yourself!

Forth, EQ section.

Nothing fancy here, everything is leveled out at 0.0 dB.

Fifth and lastly, Post Effects section.

Chorus is turned off.

Delay and Reverb engaged.

Follow the settings from the image above.

Download my preset here below:

If you are lazy like me, you can actually download my "RB - jazz tone" Plini X preset by clicking this link here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1v68v65ULb17f5nfpfFtBNtuOj7VegbGX/view?usp=sharing

Hope you like my jazz tone preset.

Of course, you might tweak it a little depending on your guitar pickups, but it shouldn't make big problems to get a decent low gain clean jazz tone useful for jazz, clean rock fusion and etc.

That's all for now.

Have a wonderful day!
