Have you ever heard online that someone recommends practising your guitar with a metronome or click track?

Yes!

And I'm not different too! A metronome is essential if you want to develop good timing on guitar.

Now, what today I would recommend is that you use a thing called Smart Metronome. You can do it using an app called Moises.

Just download your backing track from Youtube, upload it into Moises and it will detect automatically the BPM click. And it will generate a Smart Metronome!

After that you can export the backing track again to your PC as MP3 file and then you can load it inside Reaper or any other DAW.

Here's an audio file I just created using a backing track - Herbie Hancock's tune. I used the Smart Metronome function and improvised over the track.
