Taking breaks can help your guitar playing too!

Did you know that creativity is a strange thing?
Yes, we as guitarists are not creative all the time at the same level.
Sometimes, quite simply you need a total break from any guitar playing for a few days. Heck, I sometimes take a full 1-2 weeks away from my guitar practice to get the best results... in terms of creativity!
Of course, your fingers WILL get slower and overall your technique gets worse when you step away from the guitar. It's exactly like driving a car if you know what I mean here.
You can be a proficient driver but when you haven't touched the wheel and pedals for a month, your subconscious brain gets sort of confused when it is time to actually drive a car.
Okay, so what's my suggestion for you today?
It is simple really - whenever you are starting to feel like getting into a rut with your playing, take some days off. Even a week off is great.
After the off-time your mind and fingers will be refreshed and just like new-born.
Try it for yourself and you can thank me later!
Happy practicing,
Bye!
